Agile Product Discovery focuses on the customer and how product teams will quickly and consistently produce better designed and high performing products. The human centred approach to product discovery leads to increased problem-solution fit hence higher customer value. The discovery process aims at helping start-ups come up with new ideas or validate existing ones through customer collaboration and data driven processes.

Product discovery is a continuous process hence the need for a toolset to continually confirm product-market fit and whether there is enough demand to sustain its production. The customer development process can be used by startups to discover, test and validate their business assumptions quickly, so decide whether to pivot or persevere with the product. These assumptions include whether a product solves a problem for a specific group of users, if the market is large enough to support such a product, and whether or not the business can scale to meet demands.
